WHAT IS IT and HOW DOES IT WORK?
Reiki (universal life force energy) was developed by Mikao Usui in Japan in the 1920s. It is a relaxing form of energy healing therapy that is applied through noninvasive gentle touch.

As we know energy is everywhere moving subtly and quickly around us and within us. The energy within our own personal energy system moves rather like particles of light. Although it cannot be directly observed, it can be experienced.
There are 7 Chakra points running along the centre of our body where energy flows in and out. These Chakras store the energy of thoughts, feelings, memories, experiences, and actions all of which influence our mindset and behaviour. It is here that our energy vibrates and channels throughout the body via “energy arteries” called meridians and nadis. When energy flow is not at its optimum weaknesses and imbalances occur and it is then that we find ourselves unhealthy in the mind, body or spirit.

The practitioner utilises the chakras in the palm of their hands and places the hands lightly over or on the body to release blocked energy and instantly return it to free-flowing matter. This renewed and vital energy then restores the body’s innate and natural healing abilities.
